DIY with a goal!
Work in progress.
Orbital Shaker.
We looked at several projects including the Gaudi lab and the cd drive project (I think at Peeling lab). We assumed the CD drive is too noisy so we said no. The Gaudi lab looks good but kind of weak.
We'll do one that is close to the industry standard with one motor and three legs for a platform.
We are exploring now a 35 mm orbit which is a pretty advanced one even by industrial standards.
We bought some ball joints from Amazon
10pcs F686ZZ Mini Steel Ball Bearings Double Shielded Flange Deep Groove Ball Bearings 6 * 13 * 5mm
and we designed legs available at:
Tinkercad
We also designed the laser cutting files for the base and platform and cut them in MDF as a proof of concept. We need to attach the files somewhere here :)
Well it looks like this:
Ad it shakes like this: Shake ... shake
Of course this is just a prototype. Laser cutting this week.
